This is an original and popular Ofukei series by artist Kudo Takumi.
Ofukei, generally refers to the ash-glazed pottery fired at the Ofukai Maru in Nagoya Castle. The glaze is made by mixing feldspar with wood ashes, the iron content in the glaze gives it a light green color during firing.
No two are alike, and all are one-of-a-kind original pieces. Each piece has a different look depending on the way the glaze is poured. Choose your favorite color.
