Kintsugi Artist – Iyo Kimura
Where traditional craft meets contemporary living
KINTSUGI ARTIST: IYO KIMURA
After gaining experience across the film, editing, and sales industries, Iyo Kimura mastered the art of Kintsugi. In 2021, she established her workshop at Atelier Fourteen in Motomachi, Yokohama, where she creates custom art pieces, accepts repair requests, and teaches lessons. Dedicated to sharing traditional Japanese craft with the world, she lectures to international residents and broadcasts her work globally, hosting her solo exhibition Poser la main in Paris in autumn 2025 and serving as executive director for Yokohama's "Minato no Art" event.
TRADITION & INNOVATION
All pieces in this initiative are created under the supervision of Iyo Kimura to bring the aesthetic of traditional Kintsugi into modern daily life. Combining traditional Japanese design sensibilities with modern craft innovation, her work offers refined expressions crafted for daily living while opening new pathways for the next generation of artisans.
