Artfully dipped at an angle, the bold diagonal dividing line evokes the expressive brushstrokes of traditional Japanese ink wash painting (suiboku-ga). The subtle crackle finish (kannyu) on the lighter glaze adds a quiet, aged depth, while the smooth charcoal tones ground the design with modern sophistication.
Each piece is individually wheel-thrown and hand-glazed, resulting in a unique expression of movement and texture. Beautifully balanced in the hands, this vessel elevates every tea ceremony or daily matcha ritual into a contemplative art form.
