Hyozan-gama
When Yozaemon, the fourth master of the Hyozan-gama, presented pottery to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who unified Japan in 1590, his technique was praised and he was given a red seal of approval and the surname "Hashiba". The studio has a long tradition of pottery production. The current head of the family has been making efforts to create pottery that enriches the table.
This bowl shows the craftmanship of Hyozan-gama with an emphasis on tradition.
