Hyozan-Gama
When Yozaemon, the fourth master of the Hyozan-gama, presented pottery to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who unified Japan in 1590, his technique was praised and he was given a red seal of approval and the surname "Hashiba". The studio follows a long tradition of pottery production.
This mug is crafted using the traditional "Sabimaki" method, a brush painting technique that uses iron pigment. The elegant "Ichimatsu" design features a checkered pattern that seamlessly complements modern lifestyles.
